Family register

Here you specify if you want:

• the family register that you last had open automatically opens next time Genney is opened.
• Genney to ask if you want to back up the family register when you close Genney.
• Genney to ask if you want to save a gedcom file of the family register when closing.

Alternative

Here you specify if you want:

• the welcome window to appear when Genney is started.
• Genney to start with the last active main person or root person as main person.
• the order of the children and families to be automatically sorted by time, or if you want to use the order by which they entered.
• a specific numbering system to be used.
• Genney to use extended citation options. Which means that you can see empty citations in Sources and citations, and have the opportunity to merge identical citations.
    If you merge citations, it is important to understand that this means that changes to the citation could affect others who may be linked to the same citation.
    Citations shared by others are for security reasons not editable in the biography but must be opened for editing in the window Sources and citations.
• Genney should be adapted to the resolution of the operating system (Windows and Linux).
• the size of the font in the application window, tables, menus, etc. to be small, normal, medium, or large.
• scrolling speed in views will be slower or faster.
• highlight colors in tables and lists to be standard or custom colors.
