Preferences
Open Settings by activating any of the command above.
Note that in Mac OS, you will find Preferences, Quit Genney and About Genney under Genney in the Mac menu.
The Settings window allows you to make general settings.
The settings apply to all your family registers and is specific for each user.
The window is divided into eight different areas:
- General which contains general settings for your register.
- Name in which you change the presentation of personal names.
- Date on which you change the date format.
- Media where you change the settings for your media files.
- Control valus where you set thresholds for program control.
- Organization for changing settings on yourself, language and folders.
- Biography for changing settings for a presentation of the biography.
In the button bar at the bottom is also:
- Reset to default values which restore your settings to those of Genney recommended
- Reset window settings, which restore to default values.
- Export where you can save your settings.
- Import which can load previously saved settings.
