Preferences - biography

At the top of the window, you can select:

• if the biography should be displayed as a fixed window to the right of the pedigrees or whether it should appear in a separate standalone window
• if personal notes should be displayed as a separate tab in the biography or as a section in general tab
• if the fixed window should be hidden after you save the changes made
• to show children's birth and death in life path
• to show partner's death in life path
• to show sibling's birth and death in life path
• to show parent's death in life path

If you choose to view the biography as a standalone window, sources shows in a separate tab and without tab Display mode.

Options for presentation

There are three tabs:

1. Person, where you specify what you want to be available in the General tab of the biography.
2. Family, where you specify what you want to be available in the Family tab in the biography.
3. Facts, where you specify which event types that appear by default in the life path.
   You can also choose whether the selected fact types should be displayed when you enter a person the first time or if the facts types should always be included when a person is shown.

Follow these steps to add the data displayed for Person

1. Select one of the options containing Gender or Modified in the left pane.
2. Press to change. Note that only one of the values containing Gender can be used.

Follow these steps to add data that appears for Family

1. Select one of the options that do not contain Note or Modified in the left pane.
2. Press to change. Note that only one of the values that do not include Note or Modified may be used.

Do this to remove data that appears for Person or Family

1. Select one of the options in the right pane.
2. Press to change. Note that if the button is not enabled, values can't be removed, you can only replace.
