Map layer

Map layers are images that you overlay the existing map in different layers. You can add multiple images in the same layer. Map layers are connected to the user and is available regardless of family register you use.

Add new map layer:

  1. Begin to locate the place where you should add the image to the map and zoom the map to approximately the same scale as the image.
Make sure the images do not have to high resolution.
  2. In the map select Maplayer and in the popup menu choose New maplayer and look up your image in the file chooser.
  3. The image is put on the map and in the map's upper right corner is shown a control panel with which you can change the size and position of the image on the map.

With plus and minus you change the size of the image relative to the map and with the arrows you move the image. The changes in size and position are the actual dimensions, which means that if you zoom In the map, the changes in the image will be proportional less and vice versa if you zoom out. Ie. to fine-tune the size, zoom in the map. The drag knob changes the opacity of the image and in the box with the digit you can rotate the image by placing the cursor in the box and using the up and down arrow keys.
The floppy disk icon saves map layers on the map to a new map layer. The trash deletes current maplayer.
To the right of the control on the map is a list with the maplayers which are active and you change values in the control for the selected item.
