Find and replace
Activate with any of the above commands.
The utility Find and replace
is a tool to change and uniform large amounts of text.
The changes made in this tool, change the values in the family register and can not be undone.
Make always a backup on the family register before so you can restore it if you need to.
When you open the window there are two tabs:
- Change name,
where you change the look of people's names.
You change the first or last name to uppercase (capital letters),
lower case (small letters), or if the name should begin with a capital letter.
You choose whether to make changes to all persons or if you want to do them on a range of people.
When you want to make the change, press Apply.
- Replace text,
which functions as a standard "search and replace" tool.
First, select the area to be scanned. Write the text you want replaced,
and the text to replace it.
You also choose whether it needs to match upper and lowercase letters
as well if only whole words should be replaced.
When you want to implement the changes, press Apply.
