Biography - sources

Manage sources that are linked to the person, the person's facts or the person's families.

  Note that the sources tab only appears when the biography is displayed as a separate window. Also applies to key command.

  Citations that are linked to multiple objects can not safely be edited directly in the table and must be edited in the window Sources and citations.

To manage a source

  1. Select the person, family, or the fact to which the source is to be connected in the drop-down menu. The number in parentheses represents the number of sources that are linked to the person, fact or family.

      If you select a fact in life path the link to the source is automatically established.
  2. Select command (see below) in the shortcut menu  for the task you want to do.

Delete Delete Remove selected citation (press Shift to avoid confirmation)
Ctrl+Shift+Insert Cmd+Comma Change selected source and/or citation
Use any of the most recently used citations
Ctrl+C Cmd+C Copy selected citation
Ctrl+V Cmd+V Open a menu containing the copied citations that you can paste
Ctrl+Shift+V Ctrl+Shift+V Paste (special) copied citation from Riksarkivet or ArkivDigital. The citation is divided into source and citation.

  There are four ways to add a citation:

In the first two cases, there is only a single use of the citation.
